SUMMER CAMPS & TRAINING

SUMMER

2024

Keystone FC is proud to offer camps and clinics during the summer. These camps are open to players inside and outside of the club. Keystone FC offers a variety of camps throughout June, July and August. Camp age requirements are based on player ages for the 2024-2025 season.

CURRICULUMS

Camps and clinics will have a curriculum specifically tailored to the focus area of that camp or clinic. All curriculums will have an emphasis on technical development. We believe this is crucial in order to develop as a player. Each camp strives to make sure players leave a better player than when they started.

COACHING STAFF

The staff will be comprised of Keystone FC staff, as well as a variety of other coaches from the area. Coaches have played at the collegiate and professional level and have earned licenses and certifications from the United States Soccer Federation and United Soccer Coaches. Current and former collegiate players may assist our coaching staff as needed.

CAMP REFUND POLICY

Keystone FC offers a full refund for camp/clinic registrations when appropriate notice, of at least 14 days prior to the start of the camp/clinic, is provided. Any requests made for refunds within two weeks of the start date of the camp will be issued a credit towards a future Keystone FC Camp. Any requests for a refund once the camp/clinic has begun is left up to the discretion of the Director of Soccer and Director of Camps & Clinics.

YOUTH SUMMER CAMP

Keystone FC Youth Summer Day Camp will run for four days with each camp day going from 9-11:00AM. This camp is for boys and girls aged 8-14 and is open for players of all skill level and will run out of Winding Hills Park in Mechanicsburg, PA.

The structure of camp is based on a combination of the highest quality soccer instruction with a fun atmosphere that encourages the player’s love of the game. Keystone FC Youth Summer Camp is a highly organized and well supervised camp environment utilizing innovative and challenging training sessions.

Players are divided into groups by age and ability with a high staff-to-camper ratios for concentrated teaching. There is a strong focus on individual skills built inside our dynamic program that will advance each player tactically. Player creativity is encouraged to maintain a positive attitude toward developing their game. Daily morning sessions include training in techniques such as finishing, dribbling and ball control along with tactical development within small-sided and larger group activities each day.

The Keystone FC Summer Camp is directed by Technical Director, Matt Anderson. Camp coaches possess a variety of coaching licenses and have many years of coaching experience and will be assisted by high school and college-aged players.

Our coaches will work during the camp to develop soccer players by improving technical ability and tactical awareness, with the primary goal of developing confidence and creativity on the ball. We are able to foster an atmosphere that is competitive, challenging and demanding, but also fun. We strive to inspire, encourage and share the passion for the beautiful game.
GOALKEEPER & FINISHING CAMP

Keystone FC is excited to host our Summer 2024 Goalkeeper and Finishing Camp for the sixth consective year.

Keystone FC Goalkeeper & Finishing Camp will run for four days with each camp day going from 6:00-7:30pm. This camp is for boys and girls aged 8-14 and is open for players of all skill level and will run out of Winding Hills Park in Mechanicsburg, PA.

WHEN REGISTERING PLEASE NOTE BY POSITION IF YOU ARE A GK or FINISHER.

Goalkeeper is one of the most difficult positions to play. Through our camp, goalkeepers will be given specific instruction by Keystone FC's Goalkeeping staff. Players will be grouped based on age and topics will be developmentally-appropriate on age-appropriate technique. Topics that will be covered can include the following depending on age level:

Set position, basic and advanced handling, front smother, high balls, collapse diving, extension diving, re-stand, footwork, dealing with crosses, breakaways, tipping, parrying, angle play, communication, stealing ground, distribution, and 3 goal situations.

Finishing is a skill that can be learned/developed. Players participating in Finishing camp will develop their ability to become a consistent finisher. Throughout the camp, players will be instructed on a variety of scoring techniques and placed in a number of scoring situations. Players will leave the week more confident in their ability to score.

This camp is open to players no matter what position they play and is open to players both inside and outside of Keystone FC.

GIRLS' YOUTH SOCCER & LEADERSHIP CAMP

Keystone FC Girls Youth Soccer & Leadership Camp will run for four days with each camp day beginning at 9:00am and concluding at 1:00pm (11:00am for U5-U8). This camp is for girls aged 5-14 and is open for players of all skill levels and will run out of Winding Hills Park in Mechanicsburg, PA.

This camp will be run by Keystone FC WPSL players and WPSL coaching staff. Players will be grouped based on age and will work with Keystone FC WPSL players throughout the week. Each day will focus on a different aspect of leadership and players will examine what it looks like to be a female in sport.

Players will eat lunch at the fields and will need to bring a packed lunch with them each day.

Keystone FC Summer FUNdamentals Camp will run for four days with each camp day going from 6:00-8:00pm. This camp is for boys and girls aged 8-14 and is open for players of all skill level and will run out of Winding Hills Park in Mechanicsburg, PA.

Our Summer FUNdamental camp is going to provide players with a pathway to improve their core ball skills and comfort level with the soccer ball.

This 4 day camp will be limited to 12-14 players per group. Smaller group sizes will allow our coaching staff the opportunity to focus on the player's development and maximize the amount of touches each player can get with a ball each session.

Summer FUNdamental camp players will frequently have a ball at their feet. Our staff coaches work with your player to improve a variety of soccer skills. Core technical skills, changing direction with the ball and dynamic movements to beat defenders are staples of this camp (i.e. scissors, step over, cuts, etc.). Players will be encouraged to use their new skills in a game setting, because it’s not just about learning new moves, it’s about learning when to use them and why!

Summer FUNdamental camp is open to both players that are part of Keystone FC as well as players outside the club as well.
H.S. PRESEASON CAMP

Keystone FC High School Preseason Camp will run for four days with each camp day going from 6:00-8:00pm. This camp is for boys and girls who are either in high school currently or entering high school in Fall 2024 and is for players of all skill level and will run out of Winding Hills Park in Mechanicsburg, PA.

An intense preseason camp to prepare high school aged players for their upcoming season. Get back to playing shape and feel well prepared for the rigors of the high school season.

The High School Preseason Camp is designed to help players take their summer training to the next level just a few weeks before their season starts. The staff will include some of our best coaches of high school aged teams and players.

The camp follows a detailed curriculum which includes sessions on the following:
finishing, combination play, 1v1 defending, speed and agility training and scrimmages.

If you are serious about preparing for your high school season, this is the camp for you!
